    French Onion Soup (Aunt Carol's recipe)
    1 Quart sliced sweet onions(4)
    1/4 cup margarine or butter
    2 10-1/2 oz. cans condensed beef broth
    1 cup white wine
    1/4 cup med. dry sherry
    1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    2 cup shredded jack cheese
    Thinly sliced french bread buttered and toasted
    1/4 cup grated Romano or Parmesan Cheese
    1. Saute onions in butter until limp and buttery. 
    2. Mix in undiluted beef broth, white wine, sherry, worcestershire,
       and garlic salt. 
    3. Heat thoroughly.
    4. Ladle into 4-6 oven proof bowls. 
    5. Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded jack cheese over soup and top each 
       severing with croutons or 1 slice french bread. Sprinkle with 
       remaining jack and romano cheese. 
    6. Bake 450 degrees for 10 minutes until hot and bubbly. 
    7. Place under broiler and heat until cheese browns lightly.
